The historic house has 6-bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a large formal dining room, a modern kitchen, porches, and a stone wood burning fireplace in the living room. A parking space and boat slip is available at the Lake Placid Marina, for your own boat or rental. The Marina is a short walk to the center of Lake Placid Village and within a few miles of the 1932 and 1980 Olympic Sites. |

Built in 1901 as the summer residence of New York Bishop, Henry Codman Potter, Hawk Island is a truly special property. The wooded trails, lawns, boathouse and docks offer a classic Adirondack Great Camp experience. Hawk Island is one of three islands on Lake Placid, and the only private island. The original house, boathouse and auxiliary buildings are still in use.

Hawk Island is available for weekly rentals mid-June through September. Peak season and off season rates apply. This property is boat access only. We are happy to recommend local rental companies.
